Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs using evidence-based approaches and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations, ensuring client safety and stability.
- Deliver behavioral health counseling, including addiction counseling and mental health therapy, tailored to individual client needs.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster motivation for change and support clients’ recovery journeys.
- Mentor clients by offering guidance, encouragement, and skill-building strategies to promote resilience and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, social workers, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral health field. In NC, a QP may be an LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, RN with BH experience, or certain degrees experience
Service Oversight & Care Coordination
- Proven experience in crisis intervention and crisis management within a behavioral health setting.
- Strong knowledge of mental health counseling practices, addiction counseling, and behavioral health principles.
- Skilled in motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients effectively.
- Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and case management purposes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor and build rapport with diverse populations.
- Certification or licensure as required by state or local regulations (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) is highly preferred but not mandatory for all roles. Join us in making a difference! - Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and feedback to CPSS and unlicensed direct care staff.
- Review documentation for accuracy and Medicaid compliance.
- Ensure staff follow crisis protocols, boundaries, and ethical practices.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.48 - $22.00 per hour
