Summary

Summary

Essential Job Functions
- Identifies trauma registry patients from information provided by the electronic medical record (EMR) and the Emergency Department patient log.
- Reviews each trauma patient record to determine if further review is appropriate and necessary.
- Abstracts each patient’s record and gathers all data necessary for inclusion into the trauma database.
- Develops, analyzes and presents reports for the Trauma Peer Review Committee and the multidisciplinary Trauma Systems Committee.
- Works with vendors of the trauma database software in identifying problems and developing new reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 Days of Start Date | Learning Management System
- 6 years or more RN experience with ASN/ADN Degree OR,
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Eligible to serve as Charge Nurse and Chair or Co-Chair Nursing Committee; Trained Peer Interviewer
- Must hold an unencumbered nursing license prior to start.
- Preferred: Associates - Nursing- OR -Bachelors - Nursing
- Required: An equivalent combination of education and experience Related Experience
