Location: Altru Clinic | Devils Lake 1001 7th St. NE Devils Lake, ND 58301 Pay Range: $24.02 - $36.03 Summary: The Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for the treatment of patients under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist in compliance with licensure standards. The Occupational Therapist Assistant works with an interdisciplinary team contributing to patient goal development and identifying barriers to discharge. The assistant provides patient centered care and assists the Occupational Therapist in planning and organizing the plan of care for the patient. Essential Job Functions: Assists the Occupational Therapist in performing evaluations, assessments and procedures. Orients patients, family and/or other appropriate parties to the purpose and procedures of the physical therapy evaluation and treatment. Provides appropriate patient/family education and teaching, under the supervision of a Therapist. Obtains and documents appropriately all required and pertinent patient information, including precautions, orders, and initial plan of care. Coordinates treatment schedules with disciplines using appropriate scheduling procedures. Identifies significant changes in patient's condition and takes appropriate actions, as evidenced in reporting, staffing consultations and documentation. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
