Responsibilities
- Assist with the design-to-manufacturing hand-off process (NPI)
- Provide written and oral communication between manufacturing and design engineering teams
- Write new and modify existing process work instructions to document the assembly process
- Report manufacturing defects and failures to Methods and Design Engineering
- Work overtime as needed per company policy
- Work with cross-functional teams as necessary including engineering, manufacturing engineering, and production.
- Communicate with production personnel to understand and document the manufacturing process
- Support Manufacturing Engineering as needed or process development and documentation updates
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Assembly Drawings
- Ability to work within Windows based PC environment
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Processes/Equipment
- Ability to document assembly processes using Microsoft Suite with strong attention to detail
- Minimum High School Diploma, Associate's degree in related engineering field desired
- 5 years' Manufacturing technician experience
- ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems
- Strong communication skills
- Must be organized and able to multi-task
- Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude
