JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical support for employees. This role focuses on resolving basic hardware and software issues, assisting with workstation setup, and ensuring employees can work productively. The ideal candidate will be approachable, organized, and committed to providing excellent service while escalating issues that require higher-level support to the IT Manager when needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Answer and log employee IT support requests through ticketing system, ensuring
requests are followed through to resolution.
· Troubleshoot hardware issues such as monitors, printers, and keyboards.
· Set up and configure new workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.
· Handle account lifecycle tasks including password resets, login troubleshooting,
onboarding and deactivation.
· Install and update approved software and patches.
· Escalate issues requiring higher-level support to the IT Manager.
· Maintain an inventory of IT equipment.
· Provide guidance to employees on technology use.
· Assist with new employee onboarding and account setup.
· Decommission, retire, and prepare old equipment for resale.
· Perform weekly IT maintenance tasks (data exports, checks, orphan record cleanup.)
· Restart and monitor application servers when required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of IT support/help desk experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows OS and Microsoft Office 365 issues.
- Experience with workstation setup and imaging (cloning OS/software to new devices.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Understanding of account management and password reset processes in a domain environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple requests.
- Team-oriented, with a willingness to pursue ongoing training and grow into additional IT responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
