Job Title: Applications Engineering Manager

Role and Responsibilities: The Applications Engineering Manager oversees and manages full-cycle engineering projects in the manufacturing sector, ensuring they meet customer requirements and company standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and vendors, to deliver high-quality products and solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing Technical Support:
  • Offer technical guidance and support to customers during the design and development phase of customized electromechanical products.
  • Assist customers in understanding product capabilities, performance parameters, and technical constraints.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve technical issues promptly.

2.    Collaborating with Internal and External Teams:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure that product specifications and customer requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with external partners and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of components and subsystems into the final product.

3.    Customer Interaction and Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during customer meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and product specifications to meet customer requirements.
  • Participate in technical discussions and customer negotiations to address specific needs and concerns.
  1. Technical Liaison:
  • Act as a bridge between customers and internal teams.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication to ensure alignment on project goals and technical specifications.
  • Review customer feedback to enhance product features.
  1. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of product performance and reliability.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance engineering capabilities and efficiencies within the team.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including technical specifications, test reports, and approved drawings.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Prepare and present technical presentations as needed.
  1. Test Plan Development and Execution:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans based on customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Execute test plans to validate product performance and functionality, ensuring that it meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Analyze test data, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with the engineering team to implement necessary changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager in a manufacturing or related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in project tracking software tools (e.g., Click-up).

Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
