Position Summary:
We're seeking caring and reliable Personal Care Assistants to provide in-home support to our clients. As a Wabash Caregiver, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients, providing personal care, light household tasks, and companionship to help them maintain independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Provide medication reminders
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Support safe mobility and ambulation
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises
- Take and record vital signs (such as temperature)
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide companionship (conversation, reading, letter writing)
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Complete required documentation and follow care plans
- Follow privacy and infection control guidelines
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Ability to read, follow care instructions, and document services
- Willingness to complete required training
- Prior caregiving experience preferred but not required
