Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to complete daily deliveries, ensuring compliance with D.O.T. regulations and ALTOR safety standards.
- Represent ALTOR professionally with a polite, positive attitude when interacting with customers and team members.
- Accurately manage shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), pick sheets, and other required paperwork.
- Secure all loads properly and operate vehicles using hands-free devices in accordance with safety protocols.
- Use handheld scanners to retrieve, stage, load, and unload products according to layout specifications and warehouse procedures.
- Maneuver trucks within the yard, assist with docking, and inspect containers as needed.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and participate in monthly inventory of onsite tractors and trailers.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and tools are available.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education Requirement/Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles; CDL Class A or B required
- Valid driver’s license and current medical card required
- Experience in warehouse operations, including loading/unloading and inventory handling, preferred
- Manufacturing or logistics industry experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in using handheld scanning devices and basic mobile technology for inventory and delivery tracking.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel is preferred.
- Experience with transportation or logistics systems such as ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite), route optimization tools, or fleet management software is a plus.
