Weekend General Med Surg RN Administrative Manager - Robbinsdale, MN
10 Week Contract | Start Date: November 3rd, 2025
Local Pay : $60/hr
Travel Pay: $40/hr $1000 stipend
Schedule: Alternating 24 hour & 36 hour weekends (Fri, Sat, & Sun) 7a-7p with every third week being 7p-7a (either 24 hours or 36 depending on rotation)
Local - within 35 miles Robbinsdale MN 55422
Travel - more than 35 miles outside of Robbinsdale MN 55422
Alto Healthcare Staffing is looking for an experienced General Med Surg RN Administrative Manager to join our team and use your expertise in Robbinsdale MN.
The Administrative Manager provides administrative decision-making and support for the coordination of patient care services 24/7. Coordinates patient flow, communication and emergency management. In conjunction with the Nurse Manager and staffing office assists with staffing to leverage maximum labor productivity. Coordinates all emergency protocols (e.g. HICS, Code Red, Code Blue, Code Green). Participates and provides leadership which promotes quality and strategic initiatives to facilitate remarkable patient care. Patient populations may include: neonates, infants, children, adults and geriatrics.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of nursing departments, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage nursing staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care protocols.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources and maintain quality assurance measures.
- Facilitate communication between departments to enhance patient care coordination.
- Conduct regular assessments of nursing practices and implement improvements as needed.
- Manage medical documentation and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide guidance on clinical issues, including case management, patient assessments, and treatment plans.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for nursing services.
- Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and healthcare technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Extensive experience in critical care, acute care, or similar environments (ICU experience preferred).
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Strong understanding of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and DRG principles.
- Experience in team management and supervising nursing staff.
- Knowledge of geriatrics, behavioral health, pediatrics, long-term care, or home care is advantageous.
- Familiarity with utilization management and review processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and patient care protocols. Candidates who have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those who have specialized knowledge in areas such as dementia care or Alzheimer’s care will be highly regarded. The ability to perform essential nursing tasks such as IV insertion, medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic life support is required.
