Class C Driver

About the Role:

As a Class C Driver in the Wholesale Trade industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to various clients and locations. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations while transporting products. You will be expected to maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation and inventory management. Additionally, you will interact with customers, providing excellent service and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our logistics operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift, carry, pull and push heavy items as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a driving or delivery role.
• Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class C vehicle to transport goods to and from designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate e-logs ( electronic log for drivers) 
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, including invoices and receipts.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Assist in loading and unloading products, ensuring proper handling and storage.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include strong driving abilities and a thorough understanding of safety regulations, which are essential for operating a commercial vehicle safely. Excellent communication skills will be utilized daily to interact with customers and dispatch, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any concerns. Organizational skills are important for maintaining accurate delivery logs and managing inventory effectively. Physical stamina is necessary for loading and unloading goods, as well as for handling heavy items. Preferred skills, such as experience in a similar role and knowledge of vehicle maintenance, will enhance your ability to perform tasks efficiently and contribute to the team's success.
