Air & Ocean Freight Specialist
Houston, TX | $65,000 - $70,000 | On-site
An established international freight forwarder in Houston needs an air and ocean specialist to handle shipments from start to finish. You would own your own files and deal directly with clients and carriers.
Day to day
- Coordinate air and ocean shipments, both import and export, from booking through to delivery.
- Prepare the documentation, including MBLs, HBLs, AWBs, commercial invoices and certificates of origin.
- File ISF and AMS, book carriers and co-loaders, and manage customs clearance.
- Track shipments and keep clients updated, flagging any problems early.
You'll fit if
- You have at least 2 years in freight forwarding across air and ocean.
- You are comfortable with INCOTERMS, shipping documents and customs processes.
- You work accurately under pressure and respond quickly to clients.
- Your background is in forwarding, not warehousing or domestic trucking.
On offer
- $65,000 to $70,000 base.
