Purpose:
The Athlete Marketing Manager (the “AMM”) will perform the NIL duties and responsibilities
at the designated university as set forth below, including, but not limited to, monitoring and ensuring
adherence to the designated university, conference, NCAA, state, and federal regulations, and
ensuring university athletes, coaches, staff, and external stakeholders have the tools and resources
necessary to maximize opportunities and navigate this new space. This position is further
responsible for ensuring world-class service is delivered for optimal outcomes through successful
adoption of Altius’s current and future offerings.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as liaison to the Director of Name, Image, Likeness Strategy on NIL-related matters between all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate education, activation, and manage fulfillment of NIL activities between relevant internal and external university stakeholders, including but not limited to donors and external third-party entities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for NIL questions and requests from donors
  • Collaborate with designated university stakeholders to create opportunities with new and established brand partners that generates increased NIL engagement.
  • Educate businesses and assist in management of leads for athletes through identification of new and unique NIL opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records on all existing and prospective brand relationships and interactions.
  • Create athlete interest forms and maintain accurate records on all interactions through designated university CRM platform.
  • Provide guidance on university’s corporate partner strategy as it relates to NIL and collaborate to identify potential opportunities, parameters, and procedures for activation of athlete NIL alongside institutional IP in addition to related competitor/category restrictions.
  • Manage NIL questions and requests from university stakeholders (e.g., athletes, coaches, staff, etc.).
  • Assist in development of an education strategy for university athletes and teams that delivers opportunities across campus in alignment with university, conference, NCAA, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of institutional social and digital media strategies that enhance athlete recruitment efforts for all designated university sports programs.
  • Attend athlete competition, practice, and athletic department/university events to establish and build relationships on an as needed basis.
  • Stay updated on the latest NIL trends and best practices, including legislative advancements, NCAA compliance regulations, vendor landscape evolutions, and maximize opportunities as a result of evolving changes in NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Research and benchmark collegiate NIL industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditions.
  • Regularly participate in Altius meetings and discussions regarding evolving trends in collegiate athletics and best practices.
  • Provide regular reports to the Altius EVP, Collegiate Partnerships and Account Executives.
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality, both within organization, applicable university, and other external entities.
  • Satisfactorily perform role, including but not limited to, meeting requirements or expectations of the designated university where individual is assisting and/or performing work on behalf of Altius.

Designation:
  • It is anticipated that this position will be designated to The University of Wisconsin. Further, it
is expected that this role will require the individual provide the majority of duties and
responsibilities on the designated university’s campus and/or within its facilities.
