Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental examinations and diagnosis using advanced medical imaging and dental terminology.
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, implants, and oral surgeries with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough patient assessments and healthcare diagnosis.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare policies to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in accordance with medical records standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions.
- Uphold infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with team members utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery.
- Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and other specialties through ongoing education.
Qualifications
- Valid state dental license with eligibility for part-time practice.
- Proven experience in general dentistry within a dental clinic or office setting; experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
- Proficiency in performing dental extractions, implants, endodontics (including root canals), prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
- Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages, including pediatric populations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing dental practice operations.
- Experience with medical imaging technology used for diagnosis and treatment planning.
