We specialize in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions and serve a diverse customer base in the pharmaceutical, dairy, household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments.

We are currently seeking an experienced Injection Mold Machine Operator in Sherman, TX. As a Machine Operator, you will operate machinery to produce pre-forms and/or PET bottles. You will be responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued production line operation. The Machine Operator is also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies

• Operate an injection molding machine in order to shape plastics

• Monitor production process and downstream equipment and make process adjustments when needed

• Verify pre-form attributes with the use of statistical process control techniques

• Make adjustments to processes and make quality assurance testing using laboratory equipment

• Adjust machine settings to according to product specification

• Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical and process problems.

• Perform maintenance on equipment

• Adhere to quality control and to blow mold process procedure.

• Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines

• Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.

• Train PET/Injection Machine operators

• Prepare & document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma, or equivalent

• AS degree is preferred

• Prefer an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty

• 1-3 years PET/Injection Machine operation

• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)

• Machine maintenance

• Basic mathematical and computer experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required

• Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to work overtime

TRAINING:

• Completion of Altium Machine Operator 1 training within 90-days of hire date

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
