What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piano Teacher position at Altitunes?
Job Summary
We are looking for an additional piano teacher to join our team. Applicant should be passionate about teaching, music education, growth and teamwork. We would start with one day of teaching (Saturday or Sunday) and add additional days as needed. We also have a need for substitute teachers on weekday afternoons. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with and enjoys teaching private piano but would also be willing to train in our group piano classes.
Responsibilities
- Teach lessons at our Wheat Ridge location on either or both Saturday/Sunday afternoons
- Sub for other teachers during the week
- Train in group piano and eventually take on group piano classes
- Minimal cleaning tasks at start and end of shift
- Option to train in our early childhood program and lead morning classes if the candidate is qualified
Qualifications
- Experience and passion for teaching private piano
- A music degree in performance, music therapy, music ed or something similar
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, music theory, and technique
- Excellent at building relationships with students and families
- Willing and excited to learn new skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special educational needs or young students
