- Tuesdays, 2:00–8:00 PM
- Saturdays, 1:00–6:00 PM
- Additional hours available as the schedule grows

Altitunes is a music school serving families in Wheat Ridge and Lakewood, CO. We offer piano, guitar, ukulele, violin, and voice lessons, with an emphasis on kindness, creativity, and helping students build skills that last a lifetime. Position Overview
We are looking for a career piano teacher to join our team starting in January. This is a W2 employment position (after an initial trial period) with room for growth in teaching hours and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Teach primarily private piano lessons
- Adapt teaching to suit each student’s needs, goals, and learning styles
- Communicate kindly and professionally with parents and families
- Collaborate with other Altitunes teachers and staff
- Incorporate new methods, curriculum, and technology as appropriate
- Teach in-person and occasional online lessons
- Prepare students for recitals, events, and performances and attend these events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Music Education, Music Performance, Music Therapy, or related field
- Teaching experience (private or group) required
- Teachers with limited experience may be considered if they have a teachable attitude and willingness to train
- Ability to teach students ages 5 and up (training provided for young beginners if needed)
- Patient, kind, and encouraging teaching style
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and try new approaches
- Comfortable using technology to support lessons and student growth
- Ability to teach a variety of styles (classical, popular, etc.)
Pay & Growth
- Training rate/probationary period -$20/hour
- Starting Pay (W2): $30–$34/hour (based on experience and fit)
- Raises: Performance-based raises available
