Position Overview

As a Client Engagement Manager, you lead client partnerships with a focus on relationship, strategy, and account retention. You independently manage a portfolio of active client accounts, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and growth through proactive service and high‑quality delivery. You’ll lead strategic planning sessions, oversee project timelines and budgets, and collaborate cross‑functionally to keep work tightly aligned to client goals.


You also play a crucial role in onboarding new clients and major projects, identifying upsell opportunities, and maintaining clean, accurate data in our project management system. Beyond core responsibilities, you model high‑performing team behavior, actively participate in professional development, and represent Altitude with a solutions‑oriented mindset—internally and externally.

Success is measured by strong client relationships, effective budget management, meaningful contributions to strategic planning, and helping to drive client growth.


Key Accountabilities: 

Be a High‑Performing Team Member

  • Attend team meetings and participate fully; model calm, positive, problem‑solving behavior.
  • Read, sign, and follow all company SOPs.
  • Seek and complete training to improve your skills; share what you learn in team knowledge share sessions.
  • Participate in professional development as determined by your manager.

Client Relations & Account Management

  • Build, foster, and maintain strong client–agency relationships; set and manage expectations to ensure satisfaction.
  • Serve as the trusted primary point of contact for assigned client accounts; maintain consistent communication via email, phone, video, and in‑person as needed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s industry, products, audience, competitors, and objectives to deliver relevant, strategic guidance.

Strategy & Consulting

  • Partner with the internal account team and client to develop and recommend strategic marketing plans that support business goals—drive the process end‑to‑end.
  • Schedule/lead semi‑annual and annual strategy sessions; collaboratively develop and present strategic plans.
  • Research, recommend, and manage annual strategic media plans for publication advertising as needed and within scope.
  • Provide ongoing strategic recommendations as needed, with support from senior team members.

Project Management

  • Onboard new retainer clients and major projects in accordance with SOPs.
  • Schedule and lead weekly client meetings and internal account‑team scrums or kickoffs as needed; create and distribute agendas and follow‑ups promptly.
  • Prioritize work in alignment with client business goals and within approved retainer/project budgets.
  • Enter and manage projects and tasks in the project management system and maintain clean, accurate client data.

Revenue Generation

  • Attend late‑stage sales calls for prospective accounts that would be assigned to you; provide input as needed.
  • Renew clients 1–2 months before contract end; ensure scope aligns with budget.
  • Increase retainer when actuals consistently exceed budget and scope warrants adjustment.
  • Identify and create opportunities for new work or increased scope, with guidance from senior team members.

Requirements: 

  • 3–5 years in account management/project leadership in a fast‑paced marketing, advertising, or related environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple high‑value accounts and set clear expectations.
  • Proven, calm client‑communication skills across email, phone, video, and in‑person formats.
  • Able to translate business goals into integrated marketing plans and scopes; facilitate strategy sessions and QBRs.
  • Confident analyzing performance data and communicating insights simply.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization; unwavering attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Fluency with general marketing terminology and technologies 
  • Commitment to continuous and independent learning.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with international clients and time‑zone coordination.
  • Familiarity with life sciences/industrial B2B sectors (our core focus areas).
  • Basic understanding of web/marketing analytics and reporting (e.g., GA4, Looker Studio).

Location & Schedule

This role is based in Emmaus, PA. Most days are in‑office with some work‑from‑home flexibility. Occasional off‑hours meetings may be needed to support international clients.
