Position Summary:

The Hosts at Altísima Winery play a crucial role in delivering a welcoming and seamless guest experience – working across both restaurant and tasting room operations. This position goes beyond greeting and seating—it includes maintaining cleanliness in the dining room, assisting with table resets, bussing tasting room, and supporting the front-of-house teams to ensure an organized, guest-ready environment at all times. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a warm and memorable atmosphere for every guest with a willingness to work across multiple departments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests with a warm, sincere, and professional welcome.
• Communicate accurate wait times and offer thoughtful service while guests wait to be seated.
• Sign out wine club pickups for members
• Sign up new members
• Sell bottles
• Pick up trash or debris throughout the dining room, patio, and entry areas, ensuring a clean and inviting atmosphere.
• Answer phone calls, assist with guest inquiries, and direct calls as needed.
• Direct guests to other areas of the property such as the tasting room or event spaces.
• Support team members during peak periods by helping with guest requests, water service, or resetting tables.
• Arrive on time and follow proper clock-in/out procedures, including breaks.
• Understand and follow all food safety, health, and cleanliness regulations.
• Ability to manage high volume guest counts while maintaining exceptional customer service and efficiency
• Experienced in welcoming and accommodating large flows of guests without compromising guest satisfaction.
• And, perform other duties as assigned by management to support daily operations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years or older
• Familiarity with reservation systems (Orderport, OpenTable, TOAST etc.) a plus
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
• Must have or obtain Food Handler’s, RBS, Sexual Harassment, & Workplace Violence certifications

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Frequent lifting, bending, and reaching
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Work includes indoor and outdoor environments and may involve exposure to various weather conditions
