Position Overview
Altima Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Human Resources Manager to build, develop, and lead the company's Human Resources function from the ground up.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for establishing HR policies, procedures, employee programs, compliance frameworks, performance management systems, recruitment processes, training initiatives, and overall workforce development. The ideal candidate will have experience creating and implementing HR infrastructure within a growing organization and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Leadership
- Develop and implement the company's HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain all HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and documentation.
- Create and manage employee onboarding and offboarding programs.
- Develop performance management and employee evaluation systems.
- Implement employee engagement, retention, and recognition programs.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Develop workplace policies regarding conduct, attendance, leave management, disciplinary actions, and workplace safety.
- Manage investigations, employee relations issues, and conflict resolution.
Talent Acquisition
- Design and manage recruiting and hiring processes.
- Develop job descriptions and compensation structures.
- Coordinate interviews, candidate evaluations, and hiring recommendations.
- Build partnerships with recruiting platforms, universities, and industry organizations.
Training & Development
- Identify organizational training needs.
- Create employee development and leadership programs.
- Coordinate compliance and professional development training.
- Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Assist leadership with compensation planning and benchmarking.
- Manage employee benefits administration.
- Support payroll-related HR processes and reporting.
Culture & Organizational Development
- Promote a positive, professional, and inclusive workplace culture.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees.
- Recommend organizational improvements that support company growth and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience building HR departments, policies, procedures, and employee programs from the ground up.
- Strong knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws.
- Experience with employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience in aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or technical services industries.
- Experience supporting a growing or rapidly evolving organization.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
