Unarmed Security Guard – Construction Site (Sundays Only, 24‑Hour Shift)
Job Type: Part‑Time / Temporary
Schedule: Sundays only – 7:00 AM Sunday to 7:00 AM Monday (24‑hour coverage)
Duration: Approximately 17 consecutive Sundays
Location: Active construction sites (multiple locations)
Job Overview
We are seeking professional, dependable Unarmed Security Guards to provide site security coverage at active construction locations supporting large drilling rigs and associated equipment.
The primary objectives of this assignment are access control, visible deterrence, and consistent site presence during weekend operations.
Coverage & Post Assignments
- Large crossings site:
- Two (2) unarmed guards per site
- One guard stationed at the entry point
- One guard stationed at the exit point
- Smaller crossings site:
- One (1) unarmed guard per site
- All positions are unarmed
Key Responsibilities
- Control and monitor site access points
- Verify authorized personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the site
- Maintain a strong, visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity
- Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
- Conduct periodic foot patrols of assigned areas
- Protect construction equipment and materials
- Complete daily activity and incident reports as required
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and dispatch
Qualifications
- Valid California Guard Card (required)
- Previous construction site or industrial security experience preferred
- Strong observation and situational awareness skills
- Ability to remain alert during extended shifts
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Schedule Requirements
- Must be available every Sunday for the duration of the project (approximately 17 weeks)
- Must be able to work overnight
Pay: $18.37 - $23.67 per hour
