We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead-Key Holder to join our retail management team. As a key holder, you will be entrusted with opening and closing the store, managing daily activities, and supporting the team to achieve sales goals and operational excellence.
Key Holder is a specialized retail leadership role that bridges the gap between sales associates (budtenders) and management. This position carries significant trust due to the high value of inventory and the strict legal regulations surrounding cannabis sales.
Responsibilities
- Shift Supervision: Acting as the "Manager on Duty" when higher management is absent, which includes delegating tasks, managing staff breaks, and providing real-time coaching.
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures as a key holder.
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and meet sales targets.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to ensure attractive product displays.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Support training efforts by participating in training new employees
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and bookkeeping tasks accurately.
- Supervise staff schedules, shift management, and employee training & development initiatives.
- Monitor store performance metrics such as retail math, sales management, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills with supervisory experience in retail or similar environments.
- Excellent communication skills with staff and customers.
- Proficiency in retail management systems such as POS, inventory management software, and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently across multiple responsibilities such as shift management and administrative tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to store operations.
