We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager to lead our day training program and ensure the delivery of exceptional services to our participants.
Program Manager will be responsible for the oversight and management of our day program for adults with intellectual disabilities. This role involves supervising staff, designing programs that cater to the diverse needs of our participants, and fostering an inclusive, respectful environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in disability services, excellent leadership skills, and a deep commitment to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Oversee daily operations of the Adult Training Program, ensuring that activities are safe, engaging, and tailored to the needs of participants with intellectual disabilities.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of program staff, facilitating ongoing training and development.
- Develop and implement individualized programs and activities that promote skill development, social interaction, and community involvement.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and communication regarding participant progress.
- Ensure that participant records are updated, required documentation completed accurately, and uploaded in the electronic recordkeeping system.
- Manage program resources and budgets effectively to deliver high-quality services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations, as well as organizational policies.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, fostering a sense of belonging and respect for all participants.
- Address and resolve any concerns or issues raised by participants, families, or staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Evaluate program success through regular assessments and feedback, implementing improvements based on findings.
-Assist persons served in carrying out daily living skills.
-Physical stamina to assist clients with disabilities, i.e. assist with transitioning, personal care,
etc.
-Must be able to bend, crouch, squat, and be able to push wheelchairs without restriction.
- Supervisory experience in an agency that serves participants diagnosed with intellectual
disabilities.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with participants, families, and staff.
- Deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by participants with intellectual
disabilities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in adult day services.
- Associates degree in Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
