Job Overview
Alternative Performance Technologies LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our team in Asheboro, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for applying industrial-grade coatings and paint to structural steel and fabricated steel components while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting, forklift operation, and loading/unloading materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience within the structural steel industry is strongly preferred.
Duties
- Prepare structural steel surfaces by masking and cleaning prior to painting
- Apply industrial coatings using airless paint sprayers and other painting equipment
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials and load/unload trucks
- Assist with loading steel materials and finished products for delivery
- Read and follow work instructions and specifications to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform touch-ups and rework as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and properly use PPE at all times
Requirements
- Previous industrial painting experience required
- Forklift experience is required
- Experience loading and unloading trucks is required
- Experience painting structural steel is preferred
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
