Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
- Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, ensuring safety and comfort
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal planning
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Observe and document patient conditions, report changes to healthcare professionals, and update care plans accordingly
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
- Support patients with developmental disabilities or autism through direct support activities
- Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Engage in patient monitoring to ensure safety during activities and rest periods
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care
Skills
- Valid certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional nursing or hospice certifications are a plus
- Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, and hospice care practices
- Ability to assist with complex tasks such as heavy lifting and using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts
- Excellent patient observation skills to monitor health status and respond appropriately
- Compassionate communication skills for working effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in various settings including community care environments
- Physical stamina for long shifts involving standing, walking, lifting, or assisting with mobility needs
