Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by offering personalized care tailored to their unique needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those you serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide personal care and support to individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, or personal care homes.
- Monitor and document vital signs as required, ensuring any changes are communicated to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and maintain accurate medication records.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces, ensuring a safe environment for residents.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement behavior management strategies and individualized care plans.
Skills
- Proficient in first aid and CPR techniques.
- Experience in assisted living, long-term care, home & community care, or group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR systems for documentation purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Compassionate approach towards caregiving with a focus on enhancing residents' quality of life.
- Ability to perform cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe living environment.
