Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, lighting, appliances, and structural components using schematics and technical manuals
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical problems accurately
- Perform residential painting and cosmetic repairs to uphold the community's aesthetic standards
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks
- Lead small teams or supervise contractors during maintenance projects ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety regulations, including proper use of tools such as welders and other mechanical equipment
- Assist with facilities management tasks such as cleaning, landscaping, and general upkeep to support resident comfort
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within residential or healthcare settings
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting using schematics and tools like ohmmeters; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
- Skilled in welding techniques for repairs and fabrication projects
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward residents and staff
- Supervising experience in maintenance or facilities teams; capable of leading projects and guiding team members
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes or similar environments that require precision maintenance skills
- Basic knowledge of residential painting techniques for aesthetic improvements
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination
