Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to a variety of outdoor projects. This role involves hands-on work in landscape maintenance, construction, and gardening, requiring physical stamina and a passion for outdoor work. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment to ensure high-quality landscape services.
Duties
- Assist with lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and trimming using power tools and hand tools
- Perform landscape maintenance such as planting, mulching, and pruning trees and shrubs
- Operate machinery including excavators and snow plows for seasonal tasks
- Maintain irrigation systems and perform basic repairs or adjustments
- Execute hardscape projects involving stonework, pathways, and retaining walls
- Conduct general gardening activities including soil preparation and plant care (horticulture)
- Support construction activities related to landscape projects
- Perform tree trimming and tree care to promote healthy growth and safety
- Ensure all equipment is maintained properly and used safely during daily operations
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, lawn care, or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as trimmers, blowers, and saws is beneficial
- Knowledge of horticulture practices, hardscape installation, snow plowing, and tree care will be considered a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical endurance for manual labor tasks
