Responsibilities
This role involves working directly in the community and visiting foster homes throughout the Sacramento and Stockton regions. Therefore, it is essential that candidates possess a valid California driver’s license and maintain valid automobile insurance that includes their name as an insured driver on the policy at all times. The role may also require transporting clients, using a personal vehicle in safe working order.

Responsibilities
- Train and supervise resources parents (foster parents)
- Oversee the placement of youth in foster homes through regular visits in homes and meeting individually with the child
- Develop and update a treatment plan for each child on a quarterly basis
- Act as a liaison between AFS and other community-based services needed by the foster child
- Maintain current case notes and other documentation
- Identify and utilize community resources
- Crisis intervention and management
- Be available for emergencies with assigned caseload
- Transport clients, when necessary, using a personal vehicle in safe working order
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field that meets educational requirements as required by California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 22; or be granted an exception by California Community Care Licensing (CCL)
- 1-2 years experience working with children and families is preferable
- English-Spanish bilingual skills are preferred for this role
- Ability to obtain fingerprint and government required background clearances
- Ability to work successfully and collaboratively in complex family systems
- Proven track record of working successfully with diverse cultural populations

- Additional pay differential offered for CA Clinical Licensure (MFT, LCSW) of $3,000/annually
- Additional bilingual pay differential offered for Spanish language fluency of $2,500/year (must be fluent)
