Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and transportation.
- Assist clients in developing life skills and achieving personal goals through tailored support plans.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote socialization and enhance their well-being.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to supervisors.
- Collaborate with family members, healthcare professionals, and other staff to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or dementia care, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with group home settings or home community care practices is preferred.
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to assisting clients.
- Knowledge of hospice care principles is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid or CPR is beneficial.
