Alternative Care Services (ACS) is a community-based residential treatment facility for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crisis located in south Fargo. We are currently seeking a professional in the Behavioral Health field to oversee our crisis residential program. This is a FT position with a competitive salary, M-F position with full benefits available including tuition reimbursement for those wanting to pursue a master’s level degree in the human services field.

ACS specializes in providing support to individuals struggling with the symptoms of their mental health while utilizing a recovery-based and person-centered approach. This program is a voluntary program in a community based setting with all individuals being capable of self-cares. This program provides 24/7 monitoring and intervention based supportive services in 15 bed residential setting to individuals receiving treatment through the regional human service center. Staff within this program provide safety monitoring, verbal and emotional support, emergency interventions, and other supportive services to individuals within the program following recovery-based interventions and practices.

The duties of this position would include:

*Oversight of the ACS program to include oversight of client care, staffing and overall day to day facility management

*Collaboration with the local human service center in development of the treatment plans and oversight of the implementation of treatment plans within the facility

*Providing daily assessment and communication of client's progress to case management

*Provide crisis intervention and coordination of transfers in levels of care when needed

*Provide oversight and training per agency requirements to all paraprofessional and nursing staff (to include hiring, training, scheduling, disciplinary action, performance evaluations and any other oversight deemed necessary)

*Coordinate, collaborate and communicate with outside providers regarding clients care and services

A strong candidate for this position will be both client and staff focused, be familiar with different means to promote change within clients, be familiar with de-escalation and crisis intervention, understand how to motivate people when necessary, and will know how to foster and maintain a culture of teamwork and positivity within staff.

Work hours are typically M-F 7:30a-3:30p but applicants do need to have the flexibility to cover other hours if situations arise within the facility as well as participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours consultation and support as required on a rotating basis.

Interested applicants must:

*Preference given for a current LSW, MSW, RN, LPC, or LPCC license in the state of ND or have reciprocation options to ND if licensed in another state. Minimum requirement is a bachelors degree in a human service related field and supervisory/leadership experience.

*Have at least 2 years experience working in a professional role in the field of mental health

*Have at least 1 year experience working in a supervision role

*Must be able to pass a criminal background check and have an acceptable driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,000.00 - $69,500.00 per year
