What You’ll Be Doing
This is not a job where you sit on the sidelines. As a Program Coordinator, you will be part of the day-to-day work that helps individuals stabilize, build skills, and move forward in recovery. You will gain hands-on experience in behavioral health, crisis response, leadership, teamwork, documentation, communication, and problem-solving.
In this role, you will help lead the shift and support both staff and clients in a residential behavioral health setting.
You will:
- Support and guide staff during your assigned shift
- Assist in recruiting and hiring to build your team for the evening shift
- Co-author and complete performance evaluations with staff
- Assist in developing and implementing corrective planning for staff when needed
- Help create a safe, respectful, recovery-focused environment
- Respond to crisis situations with calm, supportive communication
- Assist with de-escalation and problem-solving when challenges arise
- Encourage client engagement, activities, and skill-building
- Complete and review documentation for accuracy
- Communicate with supervisors, team members, healthcare providers, and community partners
- Help keep daily program operations organized and consistent
- Model professionalism, teamwork, and person-centered care
- Complete administrative tasks such as supply management, quality performance audits, or census tracking as designated
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, human services, criminal justice, nursing, public health, addiction studies, behavioral health, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain calm, supportive, and solution-focused in challenging situations
- Dependability, professionalism, and good follow-through
- A genuine interest in behavioral health, recovery, human services, or helping others
- The ability to work as part of a team and provide leadership during assigned shifts
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is steady, reliable, compassionate, and able to work well with others. You do not have to know everything before you start — we value people who are coachable, motivated, and committed to learning.
You must be available from 3p-11p at least 3 days a week as well as able to participate in the supervisory on-call rotation on designated weeknights and weekends.
