What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brewery Cellar Person position at Alternate Ending Beer Co.?
Cellar Person / Brewer
Job Responsibilities will consist of (but are not limited to):
- All aspects of wort / beer production.
- Hot side production - single infusion, step infusion, decoction brewing. Grain in, grain removal. Data collection. CIP / SIP.
- Cellar work: Wort / beer transfers, tank CIP/SIP, beer carbonation, daily batch data recording, barreling and de-barreling, keg cleaning, draft line cleaning, parts cleaning and yeast management.
- Beer packaging including bottling and canning. Organizing can / bottle / keg inventory. Beer kegging. Palletizing product for wholesalers.
- Excel, Ekos / Brewery ERP data entry required.
Other/Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift 55 lbs up to 165 lbs. assisted.
- Able to stand for 8-10 hours
- Able to work safely in extreme environments hot / cold / noisy / tight spaces.
- Able to work with a team in a busy environment.
- Forklift and pallet jack operation required.
- Server-level cicerone course completion required, Brewers Association online OSHA safety training course required. (provided by Alternate Ending)
- Attention to safety and proper PPE required while maintaining a clean work environment and following strict standard operating procedures.
- Attention to detail with a focus on QUALITY, CONSISTENCY, & PROFESSIONALISM
- Available to work first shift (8am-5pm) or second shift (11am-7pm), occasional weekends, & beer festivals / tastings.
- Chosen candidate will report directly to the Head Brewer.
- 2 years experience in brewing / beer cellaring preferred but not required.
- Full-time hourly position. Compensation based on experience.
