Responsible for pathfinding and providing the technical direction for software development and validation. Engages with customers on technical requirements/discussions and interacts with technologists across Altera and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define tool requirements and ensure alignment with product roadmaps.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Engage with customers to understand their challenges and provide solutions that enhance their experience with our products.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our tools remain competitive and relevant.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Experience in Full Stack development.
- Experience with Agentic AI and Machine Learning (ML) applications.
- Experience with cloud-based development and deployment environments.
- Experience working directly with customers to gather requirements and provide technical solution.
- Developing and leading tools for FPGA or related products.
- FPGA architectures, design, and debug methodologies.
- Experience with industry-standard development tools and languages, such as Python, C/C , and VHDL/Verilog.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about tool development.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software tools in a fast-paced environment.
