What You’ll Do
- Ensure Client Safety→ Conduct regular safety checks (every 15–60 minutes) in all living areas, bedrooms, and common spaces. Escort clients to activities, appointments, and outings as needed.
- Direct Client Engagement→ Stay present and accessible throughout the shift. Offer support, guidance, and encouragement in line with treatment goals.
- Crisis Support→ Intervene quickly and compassionately during moments of distress, using de-escalation techniques and involving clinical staff when appropriate.
- Monitor & Document→ Observe client behavior and mood, recording updates in the electronic medical record (EMR: Kipu). Report concerns to the clinical/nursing team promptly.
- Uphold Standards→ Enforce program rules and reinforce a safe, respectful environment consistent with ABH’s values.
- Team Collaboration→ Partner with therapists, case managers, nurses, and supervisors to ensure seamless, high-quality care.

- Prior mental health, residential care, or healthcare experience is a plus (training provided).

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a behavioral health or SUD facility preferred.
- Presentation and group facilitation skills, with the ability to speak confidently to groups of clients on mental health, recovery, or wellness topics.
- Valid California Driver’s License required.
- Must pass a LiveScan criminal background check as required by licensing authorities.
- CPR & First Aid Certification required.
