The Buyer role within the Supply Chain Management organization at Aurora Flight Sciences is responsible for procurement of a diverse portfolio of programs. The Buyer will be a key role in procuring an array of materials for the organization across a variety of programs as part of aircraft development. Procurement of build-to-print parts and commercial off the shelf components are core functions of this role. This is a virtual position.

- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or equivalent work experience in Procurement/Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Buyer.
- Overall 7 years' experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Must be a U.S. Person.
- Knowledge of compliance acquisition procedures and FAR/DFAR requirements.
- Purchasing experience to include development of RFPs, statements of work, evaluation criteria, and source selection criteria.
- Experience with purchased services/subcontracting.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills to enable effective relationships with suppliers, Engineering, and Program Management.
- Experience with both development and production programs in the aerospace industry.
- International subcontract experience with working knowledge of import/export compliance and ITAR regulations.
