Technicians will work closely with remote backend engineering teams that will handle configurations while providing hands-on field support across the Atlanta metro area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support maintenance activities for DWDM optical transport network infrastructure.
- Assist in network upgrade operations from 100G to 400G transport systems.
- Provide on-site smart hands support for DWDM equipment and related infrastructure.
- Perform hardware installation, replacement, rack & stack, and cabling activities.
- Conduct fiber optic cleaning, inspection, and scoping using fiber inspection tools.
- Verify fiber connectivity, patching, and proper fiber routing.
- Perform physical verification and hardware checks on optical transport equipment.
- Assist remote NOC / backend configuration teams during maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Perform device health checks, alarm verification, and basic troubleshooting.
- Support patch panels, telecom racks, and physical network infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve fiber contamination and connectivity issues.
- Maintain proper documentation of field activities and provide status updates.
- Hands-on experience with DWDM optical transport networks.
- Strong understanding of optical networking concepts including 100G/400G transport.
- Experience supporting telecom or service provider network environments.
- Experience with fiber optic cleaning, inspection, testing, and scoping tools.
- Knowledge of telecom rack infrastructure, patch panels, and fiber cabling.
- Ability to provide smart hands support and coordinate with remote engineering teams.
- Experience in telecom field operations, optical network maintenance, or data center environments.
- DWDM vendor certifications such as Ciena, Nokia, Cisco, or Infinera.
- Fiber certifications such as FOA / CFOT or equivalent.
- Prior experience supporting transport network upgrades or telecom infrastructure deployments.
- Experience working with optical transport systems and DWDM platforms.
- Field-based role supporting telecom infrastructure across Atlanta, GA.
- Technicians will work closely with remote engineering and configuration teams.
- No travel outside Atlanta required at this stage.
