Sr. CAD Engineer

We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.Responsibilities:Design Changes - CAD model modifications with guidance from part ownerDesign Iterations - CAD development and maturation, this will be interactive with the part ownerClean sheet modeling - Schematics and initial design iterations, this will be interactive with the part ownerDrawing updates / changes - Either closing the loop relative to above CAD work scope prior to checking submission or corrections within the checking process, this work will be with the Part/assy owner and/or the Dimensional teamDrawing preparation / completion - Clean sheet drawing prep, this would optimally be under the Dimensional team's guidance to ensure minimal corrective actions being required.Standard model library content generation (dog houses/ribs/in-mould clips/swages,etc) - We will be populating this library, models must be fully parametric and easily modified to suit variable applications.Assisting the package team in generating CAD for mock-ups, bucks, restriction geometry, criteria, master sections, packaging/black box volumes. - guidance from Package layout/Studio responsible engineerQualifications:CATIA specialist, conversant in generating fully parametric solids (boolean/sketch)Strong knowledge of plastic or metallic (or both) part design including the various manufacturing processes, able to propose right tech for given application/circumstanceAble to create robust designs including part attachment and datum systemsAble to conduct basic tolerance stack-upsUnderstanding of Mechatronics System mechanical integration requirements/Development of PCBA interfaceIndustrialize Class-A Design Surface dataGeneration/modification of drawing content using ASME Y14.5 standard and well versed in GD&TAble to conduct design reviews with applicable engineer/sCatia V6 preferred3DX conversant Excellent written and verbal skills, Good understanding of Microsoft office, Google docs, JIRACustomer focused, able to work flexible hours to support work when needed.Salary:$115,000-120,000The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience ALTEN Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
