We are seeking an experienced IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) System Architect to lead the architecture, integration, and design of next-generation connected infotainment platforms for automotive applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in embedded systems, vehicle communication networks, middleware integration, Android Automotive/Linux platforms, and system-level architecture within automotive environments.
This role requires close collaboration with software, hardware, validation, UX, cybersecurity, cloud, and vehicle integration teams to define scalable and high-performance infotainment solutions supporting connected vehicle technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain end-to-end IVI system architecture for infotainment platforms and connected vehicle features
- Lead architecture activities for embedded software, middleware, HMI, connectivity, telematics, and multimedia systems
- Drive integration of Android Automotive OS, Linux, QNX, or embedded automotive platforms
- Define system interfaces, communication protocols, and software component interactions across ECUs and cloud services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, cybersecurity, validation, UX/UI, and vehicle integration teams
- Support system requirement analysis, architecture reviews, feasibility studies, and technical risk assessments
- Develop architecture documentation, interface specifications, block diagrams, and design guidelines
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards including ASPICE, ISO 26262, cybersecurity, and functional safety requirements
- Support vehicle-level integration, debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolution activities
- Contribute to software scalability, performance optimization, reliability, and future platform evolution
- Work closely with suppliers and internal engineering teams for architecture alignment and integration support
- Support Agile development activities including sprint planning, technical reviews, and release coordination
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 8 years of experience in automotive embedded software or infotainment systems
- Strong experience with IVI architecture, embedded systems, and automotive software integration
- Hands-on knowledge of Android Automotive OS, Linux, QNX, or embedded automotive platforms
- Experience with CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, LIN, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, and vehicle communication protocols
- Strong understanding of automotive middleware, HMI frameworks, multimedia systems, and connectivity solutions
- Experience with system modeling tools, architecture documentation, and interface design
- Knowledge of cloud-connected vehicle ecosystems and OTA update architectures
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier environments
- Exposure to cybersecurity standards and secure automotive software design
- Experience with AUTOSAR, Android HAL, or embedded Linux customization
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and software integration workflows
- Familiarity with functional safety and automotive compliance processes
