Purpose of Position: Assist Altec Supply Account Managers with price quotes, order entry, and technical product support.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare price quotes, order entry, and technical support for customers and Account Managers
- Maintain account history for each order
- Support outside sales team
- Maintain customer and competitor history files
- Assist in tracking shipments and other customer inquiries such as back orders or billing discrepancies
- Work directly with customers to obtain specific billing information, price quotes, and orders while covering for Account Managers
- Work with warehouse personnel to ensure critical orders ship on time
- Handle/answer calls routed from the Call Center
- All other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of two years industry specific or Customer Service required
- Above average attention to detail required
- Proven ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- PC skills using spreadsheet, word processing, and other office management applications required
- Two years successful experience in a related sales position preferred
- Demonstrated record of responsibility
- Extremely detail oriented
- Customer Service Oriented
- Motivated, goal oriented and persistent
- Maintain Company confidentiality
- Must handle stress and deadlines well
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Requires sensitivity to cultural traditions and practices when dealing with foreign countries
- Travel 0-25%
