Job Description

There is an exciting opportunity for an Outside Sales Associate in the Phoenix, AZ area working primarily with Altec Work Trucks.

This role will primarily focus on Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and California, with additional coverage of Colorado, Utah, Oregon, and Washington. This position is essential in sustaining and expanding our presence in key Western markets. With in-house training and technical sales support, you will have the tools and network to be successful and to present solutions with confidence.

Open to hire living in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico or California.

Preferred Candidate Will Live In Phoenix, AZ.

The job level is able to be adjusted at time of hire, if the candidate meets the qualifications for jobs of a more experienced level in the career path.

Required Qualifications

  • Four year Bachelor's Degree required; Business or Engineering preferred.
  • Two plus years of sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be available for extensive overnight travel
  • Able to obtain a CDL.
  • Total communication and information processing skills are required.
  • PC skills using spreadsheets, word processing, and other office management applications required.

Major Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Account Manager for assigned Natural Gas customers and prospects.
  • Drive revenue growth through proactive customer engagement, needs assessment, and tailored product/service recommendations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries on pricing, lead times, product specs, and service.
  • Partner with engineering and internal product teams to solve technical challenges and ensure accurate quoting.
  • Generate proposals and close new business across all product offerings.
  • Maintain CRM records, create reports, and provide feedback to support strategic sales planning.
  • Actively participate in industry associations and events to expand market visibility.
  • Contribute insights to support continuous improvement and product development initiatives.
