Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Performs fiberglass operations duties in the production of fiberglass bodies for Altec Osceola Body Plant. Fiberglass Operations duties will be bid positions.
Major Responsibilities:
Work differs from that of Technician Assistants in the following ways:
- Additional PPE requirement for entire work day
- Heavy work range
- 25-50 lbs. regularly
- 50 lbs. occasionally
- Chemical proximity
- Styrene
- Organic Peroxide
- Methyl methacrylate
- Ergonomic challenges
- Constant reaching
- Frequent bending at waist
- High level of operator maintenance
- High level of detail require (not able to rework parts)
- High School degree or GED
- Jobs Eligible
- Application operators (Gelcoat, Chop & Interior Paint)
- Rollers
- Glue (Bulkhead, Flatting)
- Cutting (G1, G2)
- Door closing
- Safety In everything we do
- Ensures appropriate checks have been performed as needed for high quality
