Position Overview
As an Associate Designer, you’ll contribute to the design and development of Altec’s industry-leading equipment. This role involves creating models and drawings of structures and systems based on layouts and sketches, supporting engineering teams with CAD work, and ensuring high-quality technical documentation.

Position Overview
As an Associate Designer, you’ll contribute to the design and development of Altec’s industry-leading equipment. This role involves creating models and drawings of structures and systems based on layouts and sketches, supporting engineering teams with CAD work, and ensuring high-quality technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update basic CAD drawings and perform part setup in ERP systems
- Collaborate with engineers and technical experts to ensure design accuracy
- Follow established specifications to prepare models and drawings
- Ensure technical reviews are completed for quality assurance
- Maintain safety and attention to detail in all tasks
- Travel may be required, occasionally on short notice
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One of the following:
- Four-year applicable degree
- Two-year applicable degree
- Mechanical Design Certificate (e.g., Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate)
- Two years of drafting experience
- 3D CAD experience preferred (especially for mechanical drafters)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
