Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician will be a key support resource in the Maintenance Department. Providing critical assistance in maintaining efficiency in extrusion production with a focus on safety, follow through, and a timely response to various plant issues as directed by the Department Manager.
Job Description:
- Responsible for various maintenance duties and support functions as required in all departments. Duties will involve basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic applications.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to help in identifying problems and implement solutions.
- Overtime will be required at various times to address production support, PM’s, breakdowns, and facility projects.
- Must be self-directed, have attention to detail, and be able to learn on the fly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in an electrical environment, dealing with component equipment, and/or large machinery.
- Being able to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints is a plus.
- Perform component failure analysis, and experience with a PM program highly desired.
- Mechanical aptitude and electronic problem solving is a plus.
- One to two years’ work experience or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to multi-tasking in a fast pace environment needed.
- Able to work with various individuals in a team setting.
- Current certifications and or computer applications, will carrying additional consideration.
Base Requirements:
- Knowledge of hand tools, a great work ethic and willing to learn.
- Two forms of current identification including a driver’s license.
- Passing a drug screen and background check is mandatory.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Be able to work flexible hours and having reliable transportation is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
