Position Location: Harlem, GA
Position Description: We are seeking a System Administrator to support a customer requirement and assist corporate IT as required. Our ideal candidate has experience in Windows, RHEL, and one or more scripting languages. Altamira Technologies Corporation encourages independent problem-solving but also provides a collaborative environment for our IT team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of virtualized and containerized environments in alignment with customer and internal requirements
- Perform system and network account management, operating system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting across Windows and RHEL systems
- Assist in automation and scripting tasks using languages such as Python or Bash to streamline administrative processes
- Collaborate with internal IT staff and developers to ensure stable, secure, and efficient systems that meet mission objectives
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and system validation efforts as part of routine maintenance and upgrade cycles
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, preferred
- Experience with Docker, Git, and modern development workflows preferred
- Exposure to hardware installation, configuration, and operational support for previously deployed systems is a plus
Abilities and Competencies
- Must be eligible for a TS/SCI w/polygraph clearance (U.S. Citizenship required for clearance)
