Manufacturing Engineer General
Job Summary:
Our client in Allen Park, MI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer General. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
New Model Launch engineer for vehicle programs. Launch new vehicle and powertrain programs in North America assembly plants. Primary Skills Required: Responsible for the overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs.
Activities include but are not limited to:
- Issue Resolution, Quality/Status Assessments, Fleet (Vehicle) Management, and Budgets/Timing.
- Managing the Launch Teams transition to the plant.
- Managing Pre-Production Build Events.
- Managing the ordering, building, testing, and disposition of vehicles.
- Managing the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan.
- Managing Product Development change approvals ahead of prototype builds.
- Gatekeeper for New Model Programs.
- Leading the build issues management process for the cross functional program team.
- Co-Chairing meetings and driving part support issues to resolution for each pre-production build.
- Champion Senior Management Presentations.
- Preparing and presenting New Model Program weekly assessment reports.
- Managing launch budget approval and executing elements controlled by New Model Programs within the launch budget.
Basics:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
- Program Management.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to be detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Onsite position. 4 days per week in office.
