WGL - Manager, Income Tax and Reporting
WGL is seeking a Manager, Income Tax and Reporting to lead complex income tax accounting and compliance processes that keep our business running smoothly. This is a highly technical role with significant visibility across Finance and Operations and a clear path for upward mobility.
What You'll Do:
Own the income tax accounting process under ASC 740 and regulatory reporting requirements
Manage tax provisioning and compliance workflows, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Review work prepared by senior staff; approve and guide improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on rate case data and regulatory filings
Drive process enhancements and system optimization for tax reporting
What We're Looking For:
7 years of experience in tax accounting; regulated utility experience highly desirable
Deep knowledge of ASC 740 and tax compliance
Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex scenarios
Experience with ERP systems (PeopleSoft) and Corptax preferred
Ability to effectively evaluate multiple scenarios and to assist in implementing effective solutions to broadly defined business problems.
Ability to communicate complex messages to diverse audiences at all organization levels
Master's degree or CPA required (CPA strongly preferred).

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $183,700 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
