Our line cooks apply their skills, ideally with a background in fine dining, to follow recipes and cooking instructions to prepare high quality, consistent, well-presented, and delicious dishes to our customers.
- Line Cooks prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, grills, fryers, steamers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Line Cooks follow recipe specifications to cook, prepare all food items for service, and portion food products according to standard portion sizes and plating guidelines.
- Line Cooks assume 100% responsibility for the fine dining quality of products served.
Required skills and qualifications to be a Line Cook with Alta Via Pizzeria:
- 2 years of experience in food preparation and cooking, fine dining preferred
- Able to follow written recipes and supervisor instructions
- Basic knife skills for chopping, slicing, dicing, etc.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with others
- Experience in fine dining restaurants preferred
Physical requirements for Line Cook with Alta Via Pizzeria:
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
- Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds
