SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $90,000

SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fund Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in fund accounting or audit experience with a focus on Mutual Funds, Collective Investment Trusts (CITs), and Private Funds. This role is crucial to supporting the accurate and timely reporting of fund financials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting with daily operational tasks for a growing investment firm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform daily, weekly, and monthly fund accounting activities for Mutual Funds and CITs, including calculating NAVs (Net Asset Values), managing cash transactions, and reviewing security valuations.

· Understand GAAP, accounting principles and practices especially as it applies to Mutual Funds, CITs, and Private Funds.

· Reconcile fund cash, positions, and transactions with custodians, transfer agents, and other third-party vendors to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure the accurate presentation of financials.

· Analyze and review fund performance, including return calculations, income accruals, and expense allocations.

· Manage fund expense allocations, including the tracking of fees and expenses for each fund structure.

· Assist with the preparation of investor reports, fund fact sheets, and quarterly/annual investor communication.

· Support the integration of new funds, products, and investment strategies into the existing accounting framework.

· Continuously improve accounting processes and workflows, identifying areas for increased efficiency and accuracy.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Experience: 2-5 years in investment operations, fund accounting, audit or a similar field, ideally with experience in private funds, retirement funds, or investment management.

·        Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·        Technical Skills: Proficiency with portfolio management and reconciliation software, strong Excel skills, familiarity with Bloomberg and Morningstar, and familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

·        Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy. A qualified candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

·        Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and clients.

·        Other Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
