East Coast Senior Marketing Manager

Alta Planning Design is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our firm-wide Marketing Team in our Atlanta office. You will be helping to implement Alta’s strategic plan as well as organizational change management strategies in coordination with the Director of Marketing, West Coast Marketing Principal, and Central Marketing Principal. This position includes strategic pursuits, team management, and supporting the implementation of strategic goals.

We are looking for someone who is collaborative in decision making, can communicate strategic direction, and who can maintain the high-quality marketing deliverables that defines our work.

Day to Day

In this role, you will work with a network of technical staff across the company to drive strategic growth and develop our business throughout the east coast. You will report to the Director of Marketing, manage marketing coordinators focused on supporting east coast goals and proposal development, and collaborate with a team of high functioning marketing managers across the country to distribute workload. You will also work closely with the West and Central Marketing Principals, Business Line Group Leads, and Business Development Leads to implement Alta’s strategic plan, manage business development tracking, lead go/no-go decision-making processes, track qualifications and on-calls for priority agencies, and lead production of strategic proposals.

• Business development tracking and data management
• Overall curiosity or interest in Alta’s technical work and industry
• Collaboration with other leaders both in and outside of the marketing department
• Providing a strong voice in decision making
• Proposal compliance quality control
• Copy editing
• Ai strategy implementation
• Leading go/no-go decision making processes for RFPs

Qualifications

Required

This position requires a combination of skills, experience and education including, but not limited to

• Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, business or a related field of study.
• Ten 10 or more years of experience in marketing; three (3) or more years of experience in an A&E professional services firm.
• General understanding of the planning and design process.
• Detailed understanding of the proposal development process for private and public agencies.
• Exhibits strong initiative, ability to manage competing priorities, multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams and the ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent professional ethics, accountability, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and analytic skills.
• Proficient in MS 360 products and Adobe Creative Suite
• Understanding enterprise-wide management tools.
• Experience managing and mentoring staff.

Preferred

There are a number of additional skills, experience, and education that would be beneficial to this position including, but not limited to:

• Master’s degree in marketing, public relations, business or a related field of study.
• Experience using Deltek VantagePoint
• Active participation in industry-relevant professional associations and committees.

Compensation

The pay range for this job in Atlanta is $90,000-$105,000 annually. Placement within the range is based upon experience, skill-sets, and qualifications.
