We are seeking an experienced SAP Financial Accounting (FI) Analyst to provide expert-level business process guidance and configuration support on Navy ERP’s SAP requirements. This role is responsible for designing and optimizing SAP FI processes, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules, and delivering effective ERP solutions in a complex federal environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- (30%) Analyze, configure, and optimize SAP FI module to align with business and compliance requirements.
- (25%) Collaborate with key stakeholders to support and manage posting periods and financial close activities.
- (20%) Implement and manage system enhancements and change requests related to SAP FI.
- (15%) Ensure smooth integration between SAP FI and other modules such as CO, MM, and SD.
- (10%) Provide leadership and direction to large functional or technical teams within the ERP environment.
Required Qualifications:- 10 years of SAP experience, with strong expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI)
- Proven understanding of FI-CO integration with logistics modules
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Engineering, Technical). An additional 4 years of experience may substitute for the degree requirement
- U.S. Citizenship required
- DoD Secret Clearance required
Technical and Professional Skills:- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with ERP report development, interface configuration, and custom enhancements
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, testing, and deployment
Preferred Qualifications:- 5 years of hands-on SAP FI experience in federal or defense environments
- Experience with Navy ERP and DoD IT architecture
- Familiarity with federal compliance and financial reporting requirements
- Knowledge of change management processes
- Previous experience working in a CMMI Level 3 or higher environment is a plus
Tools & Technologies (Desired):- Microsoft Project (preferred)
- Rational ClearQuest and ClearCase (preferred)
