We're excited to announce an opportunity for a part time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. Rocky Mountain Care’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in Heber, Utah is a leading care provider for seniors in Wasatch and Summit County.
We focus on providing the best possible care for our residents by focusing on one-on-one therapy, personalized care plans, and maintaining the highest service standards. Our highly skilled nursing staff are trained to meet the special needs of our patients in a kind, friendly manner.
We're excited to offer our therapists an opportunity to deliver patient centered care. We empower therapists to decide what their patients need, and allow enough time in their day to deliver. There are no 15 minute encounters, we do not schedule at 125% production, and we encourage our therapists to spend the time to ensure each patient receives the care they require.
Our COTA would be responsible for the following:
- Monitoring a patient’s progress to make sure that they’re successfully completing treatment
- Encouraging the patient during their recovery process
- Helping patients to improve their quality of life by finding solutions to their problems
- Teaching patients with disabilities to become more independent
- Updating patient records for the Occupational Therapist
- Keeping the office, treatment room and equipment in good order
- Teaching patients, family members or other Caregivers skills and techniques to help with the patients’ treatment program
